How To Get String Through Hoodie

LPT: If you pull a hoodie string out, stick the string in a straw and staple it. It makes it very easy to maneuver the straw back into the loop to re-fit it around the hood

This happened to me and my supervisor just fixed it as I stared in awe. I've been trying to get it back in for days. doy

I tried to explain my situation in a rage comic but I am pretty bad at those...

This is how my mom taught me.

Either tip would work equally as well for sweats, pajama bottoms, etc.

No, a big safety pin works the best. I can't really see the OP's method being very reliable at all. Safety pin works every time and you probably have one more often than you have a straw and a stapler lying around.

You put the string inside the straw (or just alongside it if it doesn't fit) and align the staple with the straw so that it's not hanging off the sides of it.

I tried using a coat hanger and failed, I suppose it's worth trying a straw too though.

To prevent this from ever happening, even out the strings and tie a knot just below the eyelet so they can't be pulled through.

I'd rather just tie the knots at the tips so they can't pull all the way through and I could still adjust it. But now that I know this tip, I won't even bother with that, I like the way they look untied :P

I untwist a wire coat hanger and fold one end of end of the coat hanger so it will pinch the end of the string then use it like a giant needle.

if no straw, chopstick.... if no stapler, just sort of saw the top of the chopstick into two parts with a knife... if no knife... gnaw.
